Nomads

Exhibited at XIV Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism

XIV BEAU 2018 “La imagen habitada” July 14 – August 17, 2018. Santander City Convention Center

Nomads is about identity and belonging. The subjects are Modernist residential towers of Abu Dhabi inhabited by expatriated workers. Interweaving two exposures allows Nomads to explore tensions between continuity and change, sedentary and nomadic, local and alien, cosmopolitan and exotic by focusing on the traces of their occupants. Aren’t they nomads in spite of inhabiting concrete permanent buildings? Aren’t we all new-nomads in current global societies?

Limited series. Gicleé prints on Photo Rag Hahnemuhle paper 308 g/m2, 100% cotton with pigmented inks.
